A couple days ago we all headed to a trail near Hope, Alaska called the Gull Rock trail. We took the muddy trail from Porcupine Campground, walked for something like an hour or so, and eventually made it up a cliff, where we could see Turnagain Arm quite well. After walking on the cliff for a while, we noticed that the sun was setting. We didn't make it all the way to our destination, Gull Rock, but as we were turning around, we saw what we think was Gull Rock. It looked to be another couple hours away! According to the guidebook, the Gull Rock trail is 5.1 miles long one way and should take at least six hours round trip. We had lots of fun on this trail.
